RE: 2000 Fleetwood Pace Arrow

Carl, im with you 100%. Its pretty easy to say and talk about on here but when it comes time to actually do something it probably does not happen very often.

RE: 2000 Fleetwood Pace Arrow

How many of you out there that bought used motor homes had them checked out by a 3rd party? If so how much did it cost?

RE: 2000 Fleetwood Pace Arrow

We are in the process of negotiating with the dealer. We have been and checked the coach out twice now. Cant seem to get them under 28,000.

RE: 2000 Fleetwood Pace Arrow

What should I expect to pay for a 3rd party to inspect the motor? Would the local ford garage be the best place to have it checked out? Thanks.
Can anyone help with the above question? Thanks.
I find it kind of ironic that everyone suggests having a 3rd party check out the unit, but nobody has any idea how much that costs?

RE: 2000 Fleetwood Pace Arrow

Thanks for the great advice, it is all very helpful. Is the battery not something the dealer should take care of before leaving the lot?

RE: 2000 Fleetwood Pace Arrow

I have already gone and looked at it twice. First time when they first got it and yesterday after they had done all the cleaning and checking out. There was no granny smell to speak of, I agree that the upholstery would not be my first choice.
I will certainly have it checked out by a 3rd party before making the purchase. Thanks for the help.

2000 Fleetwood Pace Arrow

I am considering purchaseing the following unit. We are looking to move up from a TT. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Any feedback on the actual unit would be very helpful as well. If I do purchase I can see the unit before buying since its only about 30 minutes away. Im pretty sure I can purhcase the unit at 25,000 or less. NADA low book with no options is 35,000. Thanks for the help.

RE: lcd TV

I asked a tv repair technician this question and his response was that the cold temperatures will not damage tv, but moisture that could build up in your camper can cause problems. So if moisture is not a problem in your camper then I see no reason to take it out.
I have a TT and feel like moisture does get in, so i bring my tv inside.

RE: Interesting development - Shortage of used Class "A"s??

I get 9-10 mpg pulling my travel trailer, I have a hard time seeing a real difference in 1-2 mpg less with a class a.

RE: surge brakes or other?

So what are the advantages to Surge Brakes over Electric Brakes? Seems to me like electric brakes with a good brake controller (Prodigy) would do the same thing for a lot less cost. What am I missing?

I have not got a tow dolly yet, I am just looking at some used ones and was wanting to know if this was something that could be done. The surge brakes are just way too expensive. Thanks again for the good reads, its very helpful.

RE: QUOTE FROM PROGRESSIVE $350 W/ROAD SERVICE

This may not be a real help, but our insurance is with USAA. USAA uses Progressive for their motorhome insurance. We have had no problems with USAA and they have a great reputation. So I would say if USAA trusts them, then I would too.
I would also be interested in what others have to say.

Adding Electric Brakes

How hard is it to add electric brakes to a tow dolly? How much would it cost? Can I just use the prodigy brake controller that I have with my travel trailer? Or is it easier to just buy a tow dolly that comes with electric brakes?
